Letting the locals know from our Borough that there will be an Advice Fair held in the Pavilions in Uxbridge... Tuesday 13th September all day..The Community Cancer Centre will be holding a stall too... But I have set this up as a discussion thread... as it will be good to share stories of helpful advice you have received. The common theme is to provide help, advice and signposting on benefit issues too...

On Tuesday, 13th September, The Mall Pavilions will, for the third year running, be hosting the popular Hillingdon Citizens Advice Bureau's "Advice Fair".
All information given will be free, confidential, independent and impartial.
"People often feel very vulnerable when they have a problem - not knowing where to go to get sound, impartial advice for fear of being either being incorrect information or finding that to get the information is expensive" says Andrew Davy, General Manager of The Mall Pavilions. "When we hosted the event last year, a lot of people gained valuable help and we hope that with all the experts available in Market Place on Tuesday, once again that shoppers visiting the event will get some problem solving answers." On Tuesday, there will be representatives from the Citizens Advise Bureau, Age UK, the Pensions Service, Children's Centres, Community Cancer Centre and Victims Support well as a credit union and various health and wellbeing organisations.
