Hi Nancy

Thanks for inviting me to be one of your friends.  Community Cancer Centres such as the one in Middlesex, UK provide support and care to so many people who are suffering with cancer.  My own daughter has has liver cancer for 4 years and has undergone an number of operations, yet she is still full of life so much so, she tells me , she has no time to be ill. There are too many things to do.

She has had check ups every 2 months, which have been extended to 4 months and on each occasion, she and the rest of the family become keyed up as the day of the next check up approaches.  She has just had a visit to the hospital and they have found another small tumour on her liver so before she goes skiing in March she is having a new treatment - radio frequency. They insert a probe into the centre of the tumour and similar to micro waving they burn the tumour from the centre outwards.  They great advantage they is minimal evasion to the body so much so, Nicky is going into hospital on 29 February and after a 4 day stay she is back in the front line ready to go skiing with her family on the 10 March.  Amazing1

You can read about Nicky on our website www.chemoheadscarves.com as it is because of her we started offering a range of cancer headwear after having difficulties in finding suitable headwear for her during her chemo.

Nancy, do tell me a little about yourself.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Paul
